Uptown Consortium, Inc. (UCI) and the Cincinnati Regional Chamber Minority Business Accelerator recently hosted an event, with support from WEB Ventures, to connect minority-owned businesses and Uptown developers on project opportunities, including $760 million in projected investments in the Uptown Innovation Corridor.
Creating a Cleaner and Greener Uptown
Keep Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB), an affiliate of Keep America Beautiful, has partnered with Uptown Consortium, Inc. since 2012 to ensure Uptown is a clean and beautiful place to live and visit. KCB utilizes the Sheriff’s Community Service Work Detail five days a week on dedicated routes throughout the five Uptown neighborhoods to collect trash and remove graffiti.
Uptown Innovation Corridor Projects to Watch in 2019
Local and regional excitement around the Uptown Innovation Corridor is palpable. In 2018, multiple developments were announced, and new tenants moved to the Corridor. Prominent companies such as P&G, Kroger, CincyTech and Cincinnati Financial located in the UC 1819 Innovation Hub, and UC announced its intent to sign a long-term lease in the Uptown Gateway.
