Uptown Transit District Public Meeting
Metro is conducting a study to define a location for a Transit Hub serving the Uptown Cincinnati area. The primary considerations for the transit hub location include service to customers, the ability to interconnect existing bus routes, and planning for other/future transportation services.
The study team has been evaluating requirements, reviewing land and right-of-way areas, and identifying service areas. Initial planning efforts indicate that several smaller transit centers would better serve the area. These centers would be strategically located to best serve ridership, the Uptown population (resident, transient, and employment,) and future multi-modal transportation needs (streetcar, BRT, circulators, cross-town routes).
Metro is holding an open meeting at 5:00 pm on Wednesday February 22, 2012 at the Corryville Recreation Center, 2823 Eden Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45219 to solicit public input, provide a project overview, and discuss opportunities of the project.
