Mt. Auburn Christmas Dinner Donations Needed

The Christ Hospital invites fellow Mt. Auburn businesses to join in spreading holiday cheer in Mt Auburn as we celebrate with area residents, churches, and other great community supporters at the Mt. Auburn Christmas dinner to be held on Friday, Dec. 16. There are many ways to help, including:

Gift donation: NEW, unwrapped Christmas gifts are needed for children, particularly those 8 – 12 years old. Gift ideas include sports items, board games, LEGOS, small electronic games, etc. Gifts may be taken to Taft Elementary the night of the event or if you’d like, you may drop them off in The Christ Hospital’s volunteer office (A level) from Monday, Nov. 21 until Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Family baskets: A large number of the families attending the dinner struggle financially with everyday expenses. This year, we’d like to give each family a basket of household items. Suggested items include: laundry detergent, fabric softener, household cleaner, paper towels, etc. If you would like to donate a filled basket, please plan on delivering it to the Mt. Auburn Community Center by 5pm on Friday, December 16.

A special thanks to Floyd Johnson, fellow Mt. Auburn Chamber of Commerce member for helping to coordinate the event and sharing the details with us, as well as Dona Grant from The Christ Hospital who is helping coordinate the hospital’s effort, as well. See you there!
