Guests craft masks and hats at Modern Makers: Carnival
Masks, hats and boas festively disguised guests who attended the Carnival-themed Modern Makers event at 2606 Short Vine last night. A table piled high with glitter, ribbon and feathers helped crafters bedazzle their very own Carnival creations. No hat was too tall and no mask was too flamboyant for this crowd.
Food provided by Island Frydays filled the space with the sweet island smells of authentic Jamaican cuisine. Guests gobbled jerk chicken and sweet plantains well into the night.
The event drew repeat customers from past Modern Makers events as well as a handful of first timers. Be sure to ‘Like’ Uptown Cincinnati on Facebook for more information about upcoming Modern Makers events.
