Clifton moms take Ludlow for a day of shopping local
The Holidays on Ludlow crowd had barely left the street before a group of Clifton moms took it over Saturday, Dec. 10 for a day of shopping, eating and relaxing. The outing was organized by Abby Moran, president of the Clifton Child Study Group, who found it important to support the local businesses that are part of the “Shop Local=Shop Ludlow” campaign. Each mom received a shop local reusable shopping bag filled with trinkets and coupons donated by the Ludlow businesses.
The moms started out the morning with a light breakfast at Aquarius Star before heading down to Artists’ Beads for a complimentary bracelet beading craft. Brunch at Olives at the Ludlow Garage was the next stop followed by a well-deserved relaxation meditation led by It’s Yoga. The day of fun was wrapped up with a wine tasting at Ludlow Wines.
In between the scheduled events, the moms spent time weaving in and out of the Ludlow shops in search of noncommercial goods. Kilimanjaro, Adrian Durban Florists, The Mustard Seed, Hansa Guild and Toko Kidz were just a few of the stores where the moms picked up unique treasures that could not be found in big chain retailers or malls.
