Art and Appreciation: An evening with Modern Makers and Fernside
Last night Modern Makers took an evening to appreciate: to appreciate art, food and most importantly, a community that pulls together. Modern Makers hosted an art auction at 2606 Vine Street with proceeds benefiting Fernside, the nonprofit providing grief support services, outreach and education to the community and families struck by tragedy. While pieces from local artists were auctioned off, the art work of children aided by Fernside was exhibited throughout the gallery spaces to illustrate the stories and emotions from their experiences. The evening could not have been more inspiring.
Desserts and appetizers gave the event a delectable touch thanks to Mecklenburg Gardens, the Cincinnati-famous German restaurant in the heart of Uptown Cincinnati. We thank Hark & Hark, Fernside, and Mecklenburg Gardens so much for their sponsorship.
Join us on May 25 from 6-8:30 p.m. for the next Modern Makers featuring Hughes High School Architecture Exhibit.

Janelle Lee, of Uptown Consortium, made sure to thank the wonderful Catherine Richards and Anh Tran of Hark and Hard for helping put together such a lovely evening.
